Our Story

Plano Flood Restoration was founded by North Texas restoration technicians who got tired of watching their friends and neighbors get bounced between subcontractors during the worst experiences of their adult lives. The national-franchise dispatcher model — where a Plano homeowner’s emergency call gets routed to whichever subcontractor is on the rotation that day — was producing inconsistent extraction, half-finished dry-outs, contested insurance claims, and warranty disputes that left homeowners worse off than if they had hand-picked a local independent. We built Plano Flood Restoration as the opposite of that model: a locally owned, IICRC-certified water restoration specialist where the technician who responds to your 2 AM emergency is the same one who runs the dry-out schedule, who pulls the daily moisture readings, and who closes the insurance file when the home hits S500 dry standard.

Locally Owned, Plano-Based

We live in the Plano metro. Our shop is in the metro, our trucks are out across Collin and Denton counties every day, and our technicians know your neighborhoods because they grew up in them. When you call us at 2 AM during the February freeze, the person who answers knows the difference between a Frisco master-planned subdivision and a 1970s Garland ranch, knows the soil under your specific street, and knows which housing stock has the failure pattern your call is describing. National franchises cannot match that and they don’t try — they win on advertising spend and aggregator placement, not local knowledge.

Meet the Team

Our technicians come out of the residential construction, building science, and home-inspection trades. Every IICRC-certified technician on the crew has been through formal training and field testing for the Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification, the Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification, and (for crews handling biocontamination) the Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification. We do not hire commission salespeople. The same technician who responds to your emergency is the one who reads the daily moisture log, who coordinates with your adjuster on supplements, and who handles your 30-day and 12-month follow-up visits.

Service Area

We respond 24/7 across the entire Plano metro: Plano proper (75093) plus Frisco (75034), Allen (75002), McKinney (75070), Richardson (75080), Carrollton (75007), The Colony (75056), Garland (75040), and Lewisville (75067). We cover most of Collin County and the populated portion of Denton County. If your home is within the Plano 60-minute emergency response radius we will be there. Commercial losses in Plano office parks, retail centers, and medical buildings are handled with the same IICRC protocols and dedicated commercial-scale equipment.

What Makes Us Different

Three things, and they’re simple:

The responding technician runs the entire job. Always. There is no dispatcher handoff to a subcontractor, no different crew the next day, no missing context between extraction and dry-out. The person who walked into your flooded home at 2 AM is the same person who closes the file when you sign off on the dry standard.

IICRC-certified to the relevant standards. WRT for water damage, ASD for structural drying, AMRT for mold remediation. These are the credentials every reputable restoration company should hold, and they go on the documentation in your insurance file. Without them, an adjuster has every right to challenge the scope.

Direct Xactimate billing to your carrier. Every major U.S. carrier uses Xactimate for property claims. We submit estimates in the format the carrier expects, which shortens the supplement-and-approval cycle. Your out-of-pocket on a covered loss is typically only the deductible.

Our Credentials

We hold the IICRC Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT) certification, the Applied Structural Drying (ASD) certification, and the Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT) certification. We carry general liability coverage and workers’ compensation insurance — certificates available on request before any work begins on your property. We are not affiliated with any national franchise; we are independent specialists in residential and commercial water restoration across the Plano metro.

Why We Specialize

Water restoration sits at the intersection of building science, microbiology, HVAC moisture engineering, structural framing, and insurance documentation. A general contractor does not know how to size dehumidifiers per IICRC S500. A pest-control company does not know how to follow IICRC S520 for mold remediation. A plumber does not know how to extract or document a Cat 3 sewage event. We specialize in restoration because doing it correctly requires all five disciplines together, and a generalist trying it as a side service usually produces a mediocre dry-out with a contested insurance claim. We do this one thing and we do it across hundreds of Plano-area homes and businesses every year.

What We Don’t Do

We do not perform the structural reconstruction phase — drywall installation, paint, flooring, trim — ourselves. We coordinate with licensed Plano-area general contractors for the rebuild. We do not do electrical repair; we coordinate with licensed electricians when a loss has compromised wiring. We do not perform plumbing repair on the source itself; we coordinate with licensed plumbers who make the supply-line or drain-line repair while we extract. When you call us with a problem outside our specialty, we tell you and refer you to someone we trust.

How We Got Here

Every Plano Flood Restoration job that has gone well — the Frisco home that came in at midnight with a frozen-burst attic line and was dry to S500 standard five days later, the Garland family whose Cat 3 sewage backup we contained, disinfected, and signed off without a single contested claim line, the Allen subdivision where we extracted from six neighboring homes the morning after a March supercell pushed water sideways across an entire street — built our reputation. We grew because the homeowners and adjusters we served talked. We did not build this business on advertising; we built it on consistent IICRC-certified work, fast 24/7 response, and clean insurance documentation. When you call us during your worst night, you are calling the Plano-area’s most-referred water damage restoration specialist for a reason — and that reason is that we do the work the right way, every time, in writing.
